Dog the Bounty Hunter, the eponymous star of the reality TV series, truly has been through the emotional wringer over the last year. Dog (real name Duane Chapman) lost his wife Beth, who regularly appeared on his TV series, on June 26, 2019, after a two-year-long battle with throat cancer.

Duane has been open until about how he's been coping with his personal grief, regularly updating his many followers on social media. However, if a recent promo for an upcoming interview is to be believed, Dog might just have moved on to a new woman already: the ex-girlfriend of his own son.

In a promo for an as-yet-unreleased episode of the Dr. Oz Show, Chapman can be seen turning to his son's ex-girlfriend Moon Angell to ask: "Moon Angell, will you marry me?" The clip was captioned: "A marriage proposal? After weeks of family turmoil, @DogBountyHunter and Moon Angell join me to set the record straight. [sic]"

Although the engagement has not yet been announced officially, it seems to indicate that Dog has found a new partner seven months after laying his late wife to rest. However, according to an unnamed source speaking to TMZ, the TV proposal was not legit. According to this insider: "[Dog] was overly emotional and got caught up in the moment. We're told he did not give her a ring during the taping, and they are not engaged."

Controversially, the promo seems to contradict past statements made by Duane Chapman in which he claimed that his relationship with Moon was purely platonic. For example, in a recent interview with Radar Online, Dog denied rumors that he and Moon were an item.

Dog stated: "[Moon] has just been so good to me. I’ll get really emotional and find myself getting into a dark hole and she will tell me to suck it up. So it’s been good having her by my side ... I’ll never get married and I’ll never have a girlfriend again."

Dog's daughter Lyssa Chapman also appeared to publically denounce the partnership, writing on Twitter: "Happiness is granted to all, and all I wish is happiness for my family. When a person who has ill intentions, that my mother specifically warned me about before her passing tries to enter, the war is on. The devil ALWAYS goes for the weakest link. Not today satan. [sic]"

She continued: "If someone who met your family by dating your brother, tried to date your father after your stepmom died what would you do? If you went to your mothers closet and saw she moved all her clothes and replaced them with her own, what would you do? [sic]"

She added: "My dad is a GROWN ASS MAN. His money. His dynasty. But you can guarantee that my name is not going down in history as a person who supported this. [sic]"
