Drew Barrymore left in tears following psychic reading with late family members

Drew Barrymore has been left emotional after supposedly experiencing a message from her late family members during a psychic reading.

On Friday's episode of the actress' talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show, the star spoke with medium Anna Raimondi, and although she started off by claiming that she was a "little bit of a skeptic" on the subject of Raimondi's abilities, by the end she seemed to have become a true believer.

When Barrymore was halfway through interviewing Raimondi, the medium appeared to receive a message from one of Barrymore's deceased relatives. Raimondi asked Barrymore:

"Do you know who Ruth is? Grandmother, grandmother line. You or husband's side, ex-husband's side?. Who is this person? Because she's really around you."

Barrymore appeared to recognize the name and claimed it belonged to her ex-husband Will Kopelman's grandmother who was called Ruth.

Raimondi continued: "You are so a part of that family, it doesn't matter whether the two of you are not together anymore and she's so proud of how you're raising your daughters and so proud that you are still a part of them."

Raimondi then claimed that she was getting a message from a judge, who Drew believed was Ruth's dead son. The psychic said:

"They are together, but this family is completely around you. You're so pulled into your family, you needed this family."

Commenting on the emotional experience, Barrymore stated to her audience:

"From the moment I met this family, I knew that we would be together forever. I'm so glad, what I realize is families are so, if you put the function in dysfunction, you're doing a great job."

"They're warm, they're affectionate and they're worldly. We all get to be ourselves and everyone's appreciated for who they are and not who they're supposed to be."

She added: "I can't tell you enough that I get to go back to my beautiful family and tell them how ever-present they are They're what's at the forefront of my life. This is really all about Olive and Frankie."I hope everyone has the benefit of speaking to you. It was an honor and a pleasure to meet you. I can't wait to share this information with people who will be so moved by it."

Barrymore first began dating Kopelman back in 2011, and married him on June 2, 2012, in Montecito in California. They were married for four years, before announcing in a statement made in 2016 that they had separated and intended to divorce.
