Drew Barrymore has recounted a blunder where she mixed up actress Cameron Diaz's mobile phone number with a young boy's, and accidentally sent him a video of her getting dressed.

The E.T actress recently reunited with her Charlie's Angel's castmates Lucy Lui and Cameron Diaz for Monday's episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. During the conversation, Diaz confessed that she never received a video invite to the show because Barrymore had sent it while rushing to start her day

"To save time I sent her a video while I'm getting dressed," Barrymore explained. "You don't see anything - I'm not that dumb - but I'm getting out of the shower."

When Diaz didn't respond, Barrymore sent a follow-up text to ask if she was fine. Continuing the story, she said: "I don't hear again for two days and I'm freaking out, so I call her and I'm like, 'What is going on? I'm worried."

Diaz was surprised to get the call as she had not received any of the messages from Barrymore.

"It turns out a young boy got the video," the actress revealed. "[The video], is like, seven minutes long," Diaz added. "It’s, like, epic. I mean, this is some material. This kid’s going to have this material for, like, honestly, this is going to last him three or four years."

This comes after Barrymore opened up about the moment she flashed David Letterman back in 1995.

During the incident, the now 45-year-old jumped up on Letterman's desk and lifted her top in celebration of his birthday.

In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Drew recalled: "I think if there's one thing I've learned in a very long life in front of people is there is a line."

"There is TMI. And I kind of know what that line is, and it's a feeling. I pushed the limits a lot, many different times in my life.

The 45-year-old added: "And I’m very lucky, I know that. I tested, I pushed, probably too far many a time."

Drew said there's a silver lining to her past behavior, adding: "I at least tried to meet that blessing with having learned something."

Now, Drew is far from the wild child star that she once was, having also famously made headlines for checking into rehab at the age of 13.

She said that her wild past has had an effect on how she is raising her daughters Olive, seven, and six-year-old Frankie.

She admitted: "I wanna be all about, you know, the pillars of appropriateness and decorum. And I don't lie to my kids. I'm, like, I had to find my way here.

"So, yeah, I've lived a lot of different lives, and this is what's important to me now. But, my kids have inspired me to be the best person I have ever been in my life, and I thank them every single day for that."
