Elizabeth Hurley is giving fans an inside look at her blossoming romance with country star Billy Ray Cyrus. The 60-year-old actress spoke candidly about their relationship in an interview with The Sunday Times published on October 25.
“Billy Ray is fabulous. We’re very happy, very happy,” Hurley said, reflecting on their time together.
Summer in England
Hurley shared that Cyrus, 64, spent the summer with her at her home in Herefordshire, England. “He loves it,” she said. “Obviously, he loves England. The weather is nicer here in the summer than it is in Tennessee.”
She added that Cyrus’ hometown outside Nashville bears a surprising resemblance to parts of England. “It’s so beautiful. Funnily enough, it actually looks a lot like England. Probably the equivalent of Surrey,” she said.
Awkward admissions and grocery trips
While the couple is clearly enjoying each other’s company, Hurley revealed that grocery shopping isn’t part of their routine. “He stays in the car … Because he would be annoying,” she joked.
The actress also shared a playful glimpse into their hair routines, explaining that they bond over their “mutual hair challenges.”
“I cut his hair the other day. We do have a lot of hair between us. We’re in constant danger of choking on hairballs. He has got very fuzzy hair. Before his is done it’s out here,” Hurley said, gesturing widely.
She added: “So we’ve actually got contrast hair, which we aim to make look the same in the end.”
Blending families seamlessly
Hurley, mother to 23-year-old Damian, also spoke about how well their families have blended.
“Damian and Miley [Cyrus] have met,” she said. “Billy’s kids are great, and Billy has spent a lot of time with Damian. Everyone loves everyone, it’s lovely.”
From co-stars to a love story
Hurley and Cyrus first crossed paths in 2022 while filming a Christmas movie, but lost touch for nearly two years. Their relationship reignited when Hurley reached out during a difficult period in Cyrus’ life, eventually turning romantic.
The couple officially debuted their romance with a joint Instagram post on Easter 2025.
Cyrus speaks out about Hurley
Billy Ray has been vocal about his feelings for Hurley. He called her “a great human being” during an appearance on Apple Music Country’s The Ty Bentli Show in April, adding that he would cherish their connection even if they remained just friends.
“It’s great that God brought [Elizabeth and her son] into my life when he did,” Cyrus said. “It’s just a good thing. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this happy."
