Donald Trump has been elected the 47th president of the United States in what was described as a "landslide victory" against his Democratic rival Kamala Harris.
With over 50 percent of the votes secured, the former business tycoon and previous POTUS will once again become the country's new leader from January.
However, not everyone was happy about the verdict, including Ellen who reportedly left the US in the wake of the decision. Donald Trump will be the 47th President of the United States. Credit:Jeff Bottari / Getty
Ellen and her wife Portia de Rossi have allegedly decided to ditch the States and head across the pond to the United Kingdom.
The couple has lived in Montecito, California for a while now, but reportedly decided to leave the good weather and the beaches behind for England.
Speaking to The Wrap, a source claimed that the couple plan to sell their mansion as they are "never" going to return back to the US and it's mainly because of Donald Trump.

And shortly after those claims were made, pictures emerged of Ellen and Portia enjoying time together in the UK - and fans noticed the comedian looked very different.
Ellen was seen with brunette hair - worlds away from her usual light blonde - as she and Portia enjoyed a night of live music at The Farmer's Dog pub in the UK on November 13.
The pub shared a clip, captioned: "What a great night in the pub with @thecorrsofficial ..the way a good pub night should be ..acoustic set, a few drinks, great friends @jeremyclarkson1 thanks for organising [sic] it!"
Ellen and Portia have reportedly been settling into their new home in the Cotswolds in the South West of England, around two hours from London.
The pair's move was reportedly sparked by the result of the recent US presidential election, in which Donald Trump won by a landslide.
Ellen had publicly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to take the seat from January 2025.
She wrote on social media ahead of the ballot: "There’s nothing more powerful than a woman whose time has come!! I can’t wait for @KamalaHarris to be our next president."
Despite several high-profile stars, including Taylor Swift and Jennifer Aniston, throwing their support behind Harris, she ended up losing the election.
