Elton John did not hold back when speaking about Ed Sheeran after the 'Shape of You' singer leaked the news of a surprise Christmas duet, per NME.
Sheeran spoke about the collab during his appearance on the Dutch radio station, NPO Radio 2, earlier this week — to the dismay of the Rocket Man singer.
The 74-year-old told NME: "Yeah, he let the cat out of the bag, didn't he?"
"I was sworn to secrecy and then big mouth f**king Sheeran goes to the Netherlands! It's supposed to come out – we haven't finished it yet, so there's still work to be done," he added.
The track in question currently does not have a title or release date.

During his interview with NPO Radio 2, Sheeran disclosed that the idea for the duet was John's idea.
He reportedly called him last year after Sheeran's Christmas song, Step into Christmas, charted in the UK Top 10.
"Elton rang me on Christmas Day to say Merry Christmas. Elton rings me almost every single day," he told the radio station. "He said, 'Step Into Christmas is Number 6 in the charts! I want to do another Christmas song – will you do it with me?"
Initially, however, Sheeran admitted that he "didn't feel like [the track] suited him."
But, having the opportunity to work with such a legendary pop star helped to sway him. "It's just me and him. It's great," he added.

This is not the first time that the pair have come together — they performed as a duo at the 2013 Grammys.
Speaking at the time, the British pop star said he was "stoked" about the opportunity. "I can't wait to kind of just be involved in the whole thing. Just to be going is an honor, but to be nominated and performing is nuts," he told MTV News back in 2013.
"He put it together," Sheeran laughed. "He rung me up one day and said, 'How would you feel about performing with me at the Grammys?' I was like, 'I'll check my schedule.'"
John has also opened up about his friendship with Sheeran, having previously said that the 30-year-old reminded him of himself when he started to break into the music industry.
"And just the fact that he's got the balls to go and do that in front of 90,000 people – that takes a lot of balls," he told Rolling Stone in 2013.
"That takes a lot of confidence. And he has no shortage of confidence."
