Flavor Flav is a father to a three-year-old boy at the age of 63 after a paternity test confirmed as much, TMZ reports.
The Public Enemy star is reportedly trying to build a relationship with his youngest child, whose name is Jordan, after receiving the test result.
The mother of the toddler is Kate Gammell, Flavor Flav's former manager. Jordan is the result of a short-lived romance between the pair when they worked together over a period of three years.
Gammell received a paternity test from the rapper, whose real name William Jonathan Drayton Jr, that proved he was the little one's dad.
However, the mother had apparently been raising Jordan on her own.
Gammell's parents, Barry and Parchi, have since told TMZ that Flavor Flav and their daughter have agreed on child support and a custody arrangement, and that the hip hop artist is spending more time with his son.
It is also believed that Jordan will take the rapper's last name, Drayton, and that he has been teaching the youngster to play the drums.
According to reports, Flavor Flav and Kate have filed legal documents to make the changes official, and a hearing is set for sometime this year.
As well as his three-year-old son, the 'Bring The Noise' performer has seven older children; daughters Shanique, Karren, and Karla Drayton, from his relationship with Karen Ross who he dated in the 1980s and 1990s, daughter Da’Zyna and son William with former girlfriend Angie Parker, a son Karma with Liz Trujillo, and a son Quanah.
The musician is a proud father, regularly posting pics of his family on social media.
Flavor rose to hip hop stardom during his time in rap group Public Enemy, which he co-founded with Chuck D. Their 1989 hit, 'Fight The Power', managed to reach number one on Hot Rap Singles Together, earning them acclaim in the industry.
Thy also bagged themselves six Grammy nominations and have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
