Alec Baldwin slammed fans who questioned how he and Hilaria managed to welcome their newborn just five months after their fifth child.

Yesterday, March 1, both the Saturday Night Live performer, 62, and his yoga guru wife Hilaria, 37, took to their respective Instagram accounts to post a snap of their family - including the latest addition.

A source has since confirmed to Page Six that the baby is indeed the couple's sixth child. However, born just five months after the birth of their fifth child, Eduardo, in September, some have speculated that the newborn is either adopted or born via a surrogate.

While Hilaria disabled the comments on her post, Alec left his open, and needless to say, he has been inundated with questions from people wondering how their youngest child came to be.

One person posted a very direct comment demanding to know: "Who's the mother?"

They insisted: "She wasn’t pregnant. She gave birth six months ago. If it was a surrogate just say that. If the baby was adopted just say that. If the baby was the product of an affair and you’ve decided to raise it with your wife just say that.

"If you don’t want to say anything – why don’t you both stop constantly posting and begging for clickbait. Just raise your 100 children in private."

Rather than ignore the incredibly intrusive remarks, the famously outspoken actor responded: "You should shut the f**k up and mind your business."

In response to Baldwin's comment, a much kinder fan wrote: "Wish I knew why people are so mean ... I can't have children and love watching the way they interact with theirs.

"As far as the Spanish who cares, everyone I work with is Spanish and they call me Elena instead of Katie ... I don't care, why should anyone else. It's not pretending to be something else. It is a personal preference, everyone has a nickname."

Taking to the comments again, Alec responded to this more sympathetic comment, writing: "Because, basically, they're not very smart. Americans are people who know less about how to live a peaceful, healthy life than most of the civilized world."

Furthermore, in response to yet another comment, Alec said: "I believe that people should simply say congratulations, or just shut the f**k up. That's it."
