What many people don't know about him, however, is that he is a keen cyclist.
Sadly, he had a cycling accident in June that left in recovery for weeks, per Page Six.
The Hell’s Kitchen host shared the details of the incident in an interview with Men’s Health, published on Thursday.
According to Ramsay, the accident occurred while he was riding his bike when he hit a “crater-like pothole.”

Upon learning the injury was caused by a bike accident, fans expressed their disbelief. One tweeted: "How the f**k do you crash this bad on a bike? Git gud. [sic]"
Another added: "How does that happen?"
What had happened was that the impact had caused his bike to spin 180 degrees, throwing him off. When he tried to continue his ride by fixing the bike’s chain, he noticed his helmet had cracked, and he began experiencing blurry vision and bleeding.
“I honestly thought I was going to pass out,” Ramsay recalled.
Ramsay called his assistant, Justin Mandel, who was able to direct an ambulance to his location on a road in Connecticut.
After being transported to a hospital, Ramsay underwent a CT scan, which fortunately showed that he hadn’t broken any bones.
The Michelin-starred chef then had to undergo daily lymphatic drainage treatments and physiotherapy as part of his recovery.
Ramsay explained how much the accident impacted his daily routine.
“I couldn’t even put my f**king socks and pants on. Justin, he used to dress me in the morning. I felt like a f**king 95-year-old man. Asking a 30-year-old kid to put my f**king underpants on was embarrassing,” he said.
Ramsay first shared news of the accident on Father’s Day in an Instagram post, expressing gratitude for coming out of the crash relatively unscathed.
“I’m in pain and it’s been a brutal week. But, I’m getting through it,” he wrote at the time.
In the post, Ramsay also shared before-and-after photos of his injuries, including a massive purple bruise that stretched from his waist to his ribs. He used the opportunity to remind his followers about the importance of wearing a helmet.
“Honestly, you’ve got to wear a helmet. I don’t care how short the journey is,” he urged.

Most of his fans reacted to the bruise in the manner you'd expect, as one person wrote: "Feel better soon, Gordon! That looks quite painful. Thank you for posting that message to save others."
A second person added: "So glad you are ok, but more so am impressed that you took the time to use your accident and platform to stress the need for helmets."
A third person said: "So happy to hear you are okay. Thank you for sharing the importance of proper bike protection. Hope you heal up well!
