Today is Halloween, and I have a confession to make guys: I don't have a costume ready. I'll admit it, I totally bottled it this year and as a result, I'm going to be feeling pretty sheepish when I head out to a costume party later today. Still, it's hardly surprising that I've chickened out at the last minute: not only are decent Halloween costumes usually pretty expensive; there's also the fact that you might end up inadvertently offending somebody with your outfit. What might seem to be a bit of fun or a daft joke to you might end up being fairly offensive to somebody else. You just never know.
Sadly, even celebrities aren't totally immune to this, and over the years quite a few of them have been accused of being tone-deaf, or of insensitivity or cultural appropriation. However, it's not all bad. The good news is that some celebrities have been doing Halloween costumes properly this year. Take Joe Jonas for instance, who wowed us all at a recent Halloween party by dressing up as Sansa Stark - the character played by his fiancé Sophie Turner on HBO's series Game of Thrones.
