Hilary Duff, 36, welcomes her fourth child in emotional birth photos

Hilary Duff has celebrated the arrival of her fourth child in a touching Instagram post.

The Lizzy McGuire star took to the social media platform to reveal that she welcomed the little one - her third with husband Matthew Koma - on May 3.

The 36-year-old introduced her 26.9 million followers to the newborn, confirming they had decided to name her Townes Meadow Bair.

Sharing beautiful pictures of her home water birth, Duff took a moment to honor her new baby daughter in the emotional caption, writing: "Townes Meadow Bair, now we know why she made us wait so long… She was perfecting those Cheeks!"

Duff said that she has been "dreaming of holding" her baby in her arms "for months," adding: "The past 5 days of getting to know you, stare at you and smell you has been pure moments of magic."

"We all love you like you’ve been here all along beauty. 5/3/24," the mom of four concluded under the post.

Many fans have inundated the comment section with congratulatory messages, as one user wrote: "Congratulations and welcome to the world and the best family Townes! So much love to all of you."

Another chimed in: "Owwww there she is. Congratulations Hillary wonderful experience. unforgettable moments. Good job mamma," and a third said: "Congrats to you all. Thank you [for] sharing such intimate and beautiful pictures with us."

A few famous faces also sent their praises such as former Disney Channel star Brenda Song, who shared: "Congrats!!! She’s perfection. I’m so happy for you guys!! I am in awe of you woman."

Actress Lea Michele, best known for playing Rachel Berry in Glee, also added: "Welcome beautiful little girl."

The How I Met Your Father actress and her 36-year-old husband tied the knot in December 2019.

The pair have previously welcomed daughters Banks, now five, and Mae, now three, in 2018 and 2021, respectively. Duff's eldest child is 12-year-old son Luca, whom the A Cinderella Story actress shares with ex-husband Mike Comrie.

Back in 2021, Duff revealed in an interview with PEOPLE that she loves the "mayhem" of raising three kids.

"I have help, but babies just want their mom,” she said at the time. “Even Luca is still like, 'Mom, Mom, Mom.' Mom cooks the thing the right way, and Mom packs the bag the right way. It's crazy.”

The 'Come Clean' singer" also said that she loves the busyness that comes with motherhood, adding: "I love when everyone's full of energy and the house is buzzing."

"You never know what the day is going to bring or what your kid's going to say,” she continued. “We're in the thick of it, and it feels good.”

In the following year, the 'Metamorphosis' singer hinted at her hopes to expand her family in a Romper interview, sharing: “I don’t think [we’re done]."

“It’s psychotic, I know. We might be. I don’t know. I love being a parent with Matt,” she said. “We are obsessed with our kids, even though we’re so exhausted."
