Following their divorce, Deborra-Lee Furness has spoken out for the first time since her split from Hugh Jackman.
As previously reported, Jackman and Furness issued a joint statement via PEOPLE earlier this month, announcing their separation to the world.
The statement read: "We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness."
The statement concluded by expressing their wish for privacy while explaining that this was the only statement that they would make on the matter.
Furness has since spoken out about the split as she appeared on the Australian radio show The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
The hosts, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson, dialed Furness' number by mistake and were left red-faced when she picked up.

Sandilands quickly addressed the situation, saying: "We have actually called you by mistake, it’s ridiculous. We didn’t mean to actually call you. But now you’re here, we won’t go into it. We love you, we hope you’re well."
In response, Furness, 67, stated: "Thank you guys, I really appreciate it. You’re really sweet," seemingly unfazed by the unexpected call.
Sandilands emphasized their support, noting: "I just feel it’s too soon. I don’t want to get involved in anything. But we love you, and you ring us when you want to chat."
Furness once again expressed her appreciation and then hung up.
Despite the call for privacy, that didn't stop the paparazzi from approaching Jackman on the street and asking him about his divorce.
Jackman, maintaining a sense of privacy, responded to the paparazzo, saying: "I don’t feel quite right talking about it on the street. But I appreciate your thoughts, man," adding, "It’s a difficult time."
Jackman and Furness met in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV show Correlli. The following year, they exchanged vows near Melbourne, Australia.
Over the years, the couple lovingly welcomed two children into their family, Oscar, now 23, and Ava, now 18.

In the days leading up to the official announcement, keen-eyed observers noticed Furness walking around New York City without her wedding ring. Jackman, too, chose to forgo wearing his wedding ring in the wake of their separation becoming public knowledge.
Their last public appearances as a couple were at the Met Gala on May 1 and the men’s finals at Wimbledon in July. The announcement comes as a shock to fans who have always looked up to them as one of Hollywood's most enduring and beloved pairs.
We continue to wish Jackman and Furness all the best as they approach this new chapter of their lives.
