Jackass star Steve-O has burst an eardrum after being hit with dog poop in his latest stunt.
This comes after he recently announced the name of the latest installment in the Jackass series, Jackass Forever, which is hitting movie theaters later this year.
The 47-year-old daredevil has been whetting appetites for the movie for months by sharing snippets of some of the stunts involved, and in his latest social media clip, he shares an incident that he describes as really "stupid".
Watch the shocking footage below:On Twitter, the star wrote alongside the clip: "Even for me, this was REALLY stupid. #BustedEardrum #DogPoop".
It's not known if the footage was taken specifically for Jackass Forever or simply as content for Steve-O's social media channels.
In the video, the Jackass star can be seen counting down before he is hit on the side of the face with projectile dog poop.
Soon after the dog waste splatters across his face, it becomes clear that he is genuinely in pain.
The clip then cuts to a doctor investigating what is going on in Steve-O's ear before telling him that he's got a hole in his eardrum as a result of the stunt.
"What you did was a stupid thing," the doctor says.
Reacting to the footage on Twitter, one user wrote: "Steve-o, no one is asking for this. Take it easy, guy."
A second wrote alongside a despairing emoji: "As someone who has had soooo many ear infections this just hurts [sic]."
A third added: "Man take it easy, we actually care for you nowadays, we feel kinda bad when you get hurt, I don't think you need this content anymore, you are more than that."
A fourth wrote: "What else is new?? You always do the craziest things and this is why we love you… but you do need to be more careful Steve-O."
Steve-O told GQ earlier this year that he was concerned over "one stupid f***ing accident" destroying Jackass's legacy prior to the release of the new film and turning it "all into a negative… but we went ahead and f***ing did it."
The first trailer for Jackass Forever is dropping on July 20, and the film itself will be released on October 22.
