Jada Pinkett Smith has seemingly addressed the recent drama involving her husband Will Smith in a cryptic message at the beginning of the newest episode of Red Table Talk.

As per the New York Post, Red Table Talk has returned for its fifth season. The first episode was released on Facebook Watch on Wednesday and appeared to make an indirect reference to Smith's infamous Oscars slap on a title card.

In a written statement, the 50-year-old actress said: “Considering all that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focused on deep healing,”

“Some of the discoveries around our healing will be shared at the table when the time calls,” the message further read.

“Until then the table will continue offering itself to powerful, inspiring, and healing testimonies like that of our incredibly impressive first guest,” it concluded.

The show made no further comment or reference to Smith's physical altercation with Chris Rock, which took place on March 27.

The episode then cut to a pre-taped segment featuring Pinkett Smith, her mother Adrienne Bandfield Norris, and her daughter Willow Smith. It's suspected that the newest episode, featuring eight-time grammy-nominated musician Janelle Monae, was filmed before the Oscars debacle.

The trailer also previews interviews with siblings Willow, Jaden, and Trey Smith.

It also features the victims of the Tinder Swindler, the parents of Miss USA Cheslie Kryst who died by suicide earlier this year, and Oscar-winning actress Kim Basinger and her daughter Ireland Baldwin.

Red Table Talk returns less than a month after the 2022 Oscars, which saw the King Richard star slap Rock.

The comic had made a joke at the expense of Pinkett Smith's short hairstyle and compared it to Demi Moore's "GI Jane" look.

Smith shouted: “Keep my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth!”  — twice — after returning to his seat. Later on, he won Best Actor gong for his role in King Richard.

Following the altercation, Smith publicly apologized, and on April 1, he resigned from the Academy. However, on April 8, the academy moved to ban Smith from Oscar ceremonies for the next 10 years.

The first episode of Red Table Talk's fifth season is available to watch on Facebook.
