Fans of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! have been roasting Jamie Lynn Spears, one of the celebs set to appear on the UK reality show.

On Monday (November 13), the lineup for the latest season was finally announced, with Jamie Lynn set to join controversial right-wing politician Nigel Farage and JLS singer Marvin Humes in the jungle.

From Sunday, the mom of two will be appearing on screens throughout the UK, but fans of the show have been taking aim at her after she revealed what she's "best known for" in her introduction video.

Speaking to the camera, Jamie Lynn said: "I'm best known for being an actress and a singer. I have been doing it since I could basically walk."

Between 2005 and 2008, the 32-year-old played lead character Zoey Brooks in Nickelodeon's Zoey 101 and Noreen Fitzgibbons in Netflix's Sweet Magnolias.

She later embarked on a music career, releasing a country EP.

Despite this, viewers insisted she was best known for one thing and one thing only, with one writing: "Be serious Jamie Lynn, you are best known for being Britney Spears's sister."

Another added: "Jamie Lynn spears ahaha a singer??? Give me a break."

A third said: "Jamie-Lynn spears is hilarious for saying actress and singer… I love the delulu of it…."

The two sisters have been feuding since 2021, with the eldest accusing her little sister of supporting her now-defunct conservatorship. Britney shared her grievances in her memoir The Woman In Me. In the book, Britney claimed Jamie Lynn refused to help her when she was taken to residential treatment facility apparently against her will.

Despite vehemently denying these claims, the two sisters remain estranged.

"There is literally every misconception you can have on a person about me so I don’t take any of it seriously,' Jamie Lynn continued in the video. "I do think going on I’m A Celebrity will be a nice way for people to see the real me. This is an opportunity to be myself and do something really cool and have some awesome experiences in the meantime."

She went on to say: "Everything I have seen I have been afraid of. Absolutely every one of these trials I am dreading. I haven’t looked at any of them and thought, 'Oh cool, I could do that one.' This is going to be terrifying."

The former child star continued: "I think my best quality is the fact that it takes a lot to hurt my feelings. Unless you are my children or my immediate family, nothing is going to hurt me. I can take a lot of s**t and it doesn’t get me down, so I really think it’s a good quality to have in a place where a lot of stuff is thrown at you!

"When they approached me, the first thing I had to do was talk it over with my family and my kids to make sure they were OK about me being gone for this amount of time. Once I got the all-clear from everybody, I was like, 'Yeah, let’s go.'"
