Bunnie Xo's eyebrow-raising confession about her husband Jelly Roll's manhood after his weight-loss transformation has resurfaced after reports emerged that the couple is set to divorce following nearly a decade of marriage.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the 41-year-old star, whose real name is Jason DeFord, filed for divorce from his wife in Williamson County, Tennessee, on May 18.
The outlet shared that the choice to separate was a "mutual decision by the two and a private family matter".
The 'Save Me' singer has spent the last several years transforming his health.
At his heaviest, the Grammy-winning musician weighed around 550lbs (249kg), having previously explained that his nickname and stage name were inspired by his size.
"I’ve been fat my whole life," he previously told The Bobby Bones Show. "[My mom] started calling me Jelly Roll when I was young, and I spent the next 20 years trying to grow into the name."
His weight loss journey eventually saw him lose more than 275lbs (124kg), dramatically changing both his health and daily life.
Speaking to Men's Health earlier this year, Jelly Roll described how difficult living at his heaviest had become.
"I was a prisoner to my own body," he said. "Dude, wiping my a** was a problem. Washing myself properly was a problem. Getting in cars. Every decision I made in life had to be based on my weight.
"If it could hold me, facilitate me, or fit me... people don’t think about every facet of, ‘I still want to be able to do that and I can’t,'" he added.
During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show in February, Bunnie revealed there had been another unexpected benefit to his transformation.
"He’s getting his confidence back, and he’s peacocking around. He’s got a little strut in his step, and I think it’s just the cutest thing," she gushed at the time. "He deserves to have a hot streak. I'm ready for him to just feel his best."
She then claimed that weight loss had a noticeable effect on a man's anatomy. "I will tell you that it is very true that when a man loses weight, it grows a lot," Bunnie told Stern, before saying that in her husband's case, his private parts had become "severely bigger".
"Oh God, he’s gonna kill me," she added with a laugh.
According to healthcare experts at LifeMD, the apparent increase in size is largely due to reduced fat around the pubic area.
"Losing weight can potentially lead to a slight increase in the appearance of penis size. This is due to the reduction of the 'fat pad' located above the penis. This fat pad can hide a portion of the length of the penis.
"So when someone loses weight and decreases the amount of fat in their pubic area, more of the length of the penis may become visible," the report states.
Bunnie has previously opened up about how her husband's transformation reignited his confidence.
"We always had a sex life, but there were mountains and valleys that we had to go through - especially when he was so big," she told US Weekly.
She credited his renewed energy for helping improve their relationship. "It’s so childlike and just giddy - just seeing him get to be the man that I always saw that he was," she added.
The 46-year-old continued: "Even when he was 500 pounds, this dude was an agile, big guy. I’m like, 'You are athletic under that meat suit.'
"Now that he has the weight off of him, he just gets to be who I always knew that he was, and I think it’s brought a new sense of happiness to him. Any time he’s happy, I’m happy."
The 'Son of a Sinner' musician also previously revealed that testing showed he had extremely low testosterone levels while the former couple was trying to conceive.
"When I went in there for the test, it was bad. Bad. The world opened up when I seen it on paper," he told Men's Health. "I was like, That’s my testosterone level? You can’t get it up without T. I was married to a smoke show, and I was still struggling."
He said the situation is now completely different. "I’m chasing her around the house. I’m like a teenage kid again! I’m like the Pink Panther: I bust out of every corner."
The couple first met at one of Jelly Roll's performances at Las Vegas' Country Saloon in 2015 and began dating shortly afterwards.
Around a year later, the singer proposed to Bunnie on stage in Las Vegas before the pair eloped and married in a courthouse ceremony the same evening.
Over the years, they have been open about many aspects of their marriage, including their IVF journey and attempts to expand their family.
