Jim Carrey is well-known for being one of the funniest actors alive, and after playing the part of the villainous Dr Eggman in the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie, he's reminded us all of what a versatile performer he is.

But Carrey also moonlights as another kind of artist altogether: namely, a satirical caricaturist, whose NSFW cartoons skewer political figures every other week.

The 'Dumb and Dumber' actor recently caught flak for a comment he made to Margot Robbie on 'The Graham Norton Show':

Now, Carrey has shared a brand-new work of art with his Twitter followers, which attacks President Donald Trump over his response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Taking to Twitter, Carrey uploaded a picture of his latest creation, which showed a sleeping President Donald Trump surrounded by cartoon representations of the virus sneaking around his bed.

Carrey captioned the post: "As cases of COVID-19 double every three days in NYC, the President reassures Wall Street that he can handle the important tissues. [sic]"

Carrey also uploaded a picture of Senator Richard Burr who reportedly sold stocks in January after he was told about the imminent economic threat posed to the economy by the pandemic in private congressional health briefings.

On a lighter note, the actor has also sarcastically begun documenting the growth of his facial hair while in isolation during the pandemic. Uploading a selfie, Carrey captioned his post: "Day 1. I’m growing a beard until we all go back to work. I’ll post reg pics so you can marvel at the miracle of my meaningless transformation. [sic]"

He added: "Normally, I try to stay on the cutting edge of entertainment. Now I shall conquer the uncutting edge. Please join me. #letsgrowtogether [sic]"

We are urging all of our readers to adhere to the advice from their respective governments and medical bodies, and practice social distancing and self-isolation where required. Together, we will beat this.
