Kanye West shares angry response after 12-year-old daughter North filmed with 'face tattoos and piercings'

Kanye "Ye" West has publicly reacted after a video of his 12-year-old daughter North West (whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Kardashian) went viral online, showing the preteen wearing fake face tattoos and piercings.

In a new video shared online, the rapper voiced his frustration over what he sees as the media and entertainment industry’s influence on his daughter, making it clear he does not approve of her appearances on social media platforms or entertainment-related content.

“I know y’all don’t respect fathers and the idea of family, and media tries to promote something,” Kanye said in the clip. “I said, I’m not allowing my daughter to be used by TikTok, to be used by Disney. I have a say so!”

The 47-year-old continued his message by calling out what he views as an imbalance in family court and custody dynamics, saying fathers often have limited power in decisions affecting their children.

“There’s no such thing as 50/50 custody in society today,” he said. “That’s not even … it always leans towards the mom. But right now, I’m happy that you guys got to see just a small piece of what I dealt with.”

The comments come after a recent TikTok video (posted to the joint account run by Kim and North) featured the 12-year-old sporting temporary facial tattoos and faux piercings as part of a playful makeup look. The clip quickly circulated on social media, sparking debate among fans and parents alike.

This isn’t the first time West has spoken out about his daughter’s online presence. The rapper has repeatedly criticized the use of TikTok and other platforms by young children, particularly when it involves his own family.

Neither Kim Kardashian nor representatives for Disney or TikTok have publicly responded to Kanye’s latest remarks.

West’s comments have reignited discussion about parental boundaries and control in high-profile families, especially when children of celebrities maintain an active online presence.
