West faced widespread backlash following a series of controversies, including wearing a "White Lives Matter" shirt at Paris Fashion Week and posting antisemitic remarks on X.
Among the tweets was a declaration that he would go "Death Con 3" on Jewish people, along with claims that rapper Diddy was being influenced by Jewish individuals.
The fallout was swift. High-profile brands, including Balenciaga, GAP, Vogue, Adidas, and others, cut ties with him following his remarks.
Adidas, whose partnership with West accounted for a substantial portion of his wealth, released a strongly worded statement after his remarks, saying: "Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech.
"[West's] recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous, and they violate the company's values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect, and fairness."
The company added: "After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with [West] immediately, end production of Yeezy branded products, and stop all payments to [West] and his companies. Adidas will stop the Adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect."

This decision caused a reported $1.4 billion loss in West’s net worth, effectively removing him from Forbes’ billionaire list. CNN Business estimated West’s remaining fortune at $400 million.
Well, it appears as if things have turned around for the controversial rapper.
West has unveiled his staggering net worth, credited to his music portfolio and sole ownership of the Yeezy brand. The revelation was shared with his 20.5 million Instagram followers on Friday, offering a glimpse into his financial resurgence.
He posted a message from Eton Venture Services, which confirmed his current net worth: "In 2025, [West's] net worth stands at $2.77 billion USD as confirmed by Eton Venture Services. The valuation is based on his music portfolio and his sole ownership of the Yeezy mark."
Despite his financial recovery, West’s past comments and controversies continue to shadow his career. When questioned about his anti-Semitic remarks, he responded: "They got the right to their opinion - I got the right to my opinion," per TMZ.
At the height of the backlash, West penned a note to Hollywood super-agent Ari Emanuel, who had called for him to be blacklisted.
"Ari Emanuel, I lost 2 billion dollars in one day and I’m still alive. This is love speech. I still love you. God still loves you. The money is not who I am. The people is who I am," West wrote in a post titled ‘LOVE SPEECH’.
