'Teenage Dream' singer Katy Perry is pregnant and expecting her first child with the actor Orlando Bloom, reports have stated.
35-year-old Perry appeared to confirm the news in her new music video for 'Never Worn White', in which she dons a variety of elegant pieces, including a white gown and a floral number. At the end of the short film, the singer is seen cradling her baby bump.
Watch as a formerly paralyzed singer brings Katy to tears on American Idol:Per the Independent, Katy later took to Instagram Live to confirm the news with her tens of millions of fans, saying;
“There’s a lot that’s happening this summer. Not only will I be giving birth, literally, and figuratively… to something you guys have been waiting for.
“I’m excited, we’re excited, and happy. It’s probably the longest secret I’ve ever had to keep. I thought I would tell you guys in the best way through a piece of music. While it’s not the lead single, it’s a good way to start out. I had to reveal it [the pregnancy] at some point."
She added of the pregnancy "It’s getting pretty obvious."
Katy and Orlando got engaged on Valentine's Day in February of last year, after three years of dating. Orlando Bloom is father to nine-year-old son Flynn, whom he shares with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
