While we still have no host for the Oscars 2020, it looks like we do have another presenter, and it's no other than Keanu Reeves.
The Academy Awards, which will air on the 10th of February, have put together a pretty compelling line-up of celebs to hand out gold statues to... more celebs. So it only makes sense that the internet's favourite "nice guy" has been given the honour, and he's had quite the year to boot.
Keanu starred in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, made a much-lauded cameo in Netflix's Always Be My Maybe, and delivered voice work for the Oscar-nominated Toy Story 4. Oh and he also recently stepped out with a new girlfriend, visual artist, Alexandra Grant - and it sent Twitter into a veritable meltdown.
Watch behind-the-scenes footage of Keanu Reeves voice acting for Toy Story 4:It's certainly set to be an action-packed night, given the array of presenters. As well as Keanu, we'll have George MacKay of 1917 fame, James Corden of the critically-unacclaimed Cats. We'll also see Beanie Feldstein from Booksmart, Shia LaBeouf and Zack Gottsagen of The Peanut Butter Falcon.
Not only that, but Steve Martin, Maya Rudolph, Penélope Cruz, Diane Keaton, and Sigourney Weaver will be making an appearance.
Keanu caused a social media storm last year by stepping out publicly with a girlfriend - something that he hasn't done in decades. The 55-year-old attended the LACMA Art + Film Gala Presented By Gucci in Los Angeles with Alexandra Grant, and the pair were seen holding hands.
The infamously private A-lister rarely speaks about his private relationships, making this an usual move. His last public girlfriend was actress Jennifer Syme, who gave birth to their daughter Ava Archer Syme-Reeves in 1999, who was stillborn.
The couple proceeded to split, and a few months later Syme passed away after the car she was driving collided with a row of parked cars.
