Kim Kardashian has left fans stunned after arriving in New York completely covered head-t0-toe in a black leather dominatrix style outfit.
The reality star, 40, debuted the unusual look on Saturday (September 11) when she arrived in New York wearing a Balenciaga outfit that included a full facemask complete with eye slits, the Daily Mail reports.
Kim was joined by her mother Kris Jenner, Jenner's partner Corey Gamble, sister Kourtney Kardashian, and Travis Barker, as they arrived in the city for the Met Gala, which is taking place tomorrow.
The outfit included a black trenchcoat, thigh-high leather boots, leather gloves, and a sparkly silver Balenciaga bag.
The reality star's ponytail, however, could be seen poking out from behind the mask despite the fact that her face was completely covered.
Kim later posted a series of snaps of the outfit on Instagram that were captioned with a single knife emoji.
The BDSM-inspired outfit did not go unnoticed on social media, and fans and critics alike were quick to make their thoughts about it known.
Reacting to the outfit, one Twitter user wrote: "Kim kardashian out here looking like she wearing the black suit Spider-Man costume [sic]."
A second added: "this is hella weird it looks like a rubber bdsm outfit [sic]."
A third shared a picture of Cardi B in a similar, albeit floral, head-to-toe outfit and wrote: "It's giving Cardi B and we are here for it!!"
A fourth remarked: "When is it ever enough?? ... Your need for attention, i mean. Honestly [sic]."
A fifth wrote: "Giving me adams family vibes [sic]."
A sixth questioned: "is this your halloween costume [sic]."
Meanwhile, a seventh speculated that the outfit was a hint that Kim had reunited with Kanye West after the pair parted ways earlier this year.
They wrote: "Tell us you are back with Kanye without telling us."
The speculation comes after Kanye West has been photographed at all recent public outings wearing a similar face covering, the Daily Mail reports.
