Lil Nas X is now the proud parent of a brand new album!

The 22-year-old rapper has been showing off his faux baby bump online for some weeks, and it appears he has now "given birth" to his baby - that is, his debut studio album, Montero.

Taking to social media on Thursday night, Lil Nas X shared a video of him being rushed to the delivery room at a "hospital". The comedic clip sees the performer panting and writhing in pain as two concerned medics assist him with the delivery.

Moments after the arrival of his "baby", he lovingly holds it in his arms and tells the nurses: "It’s already Grammy-nominated."

Lil Nas X debuted his "pregnancy belly" on September 2, sharing an elegant photoshoot in which he wears a flower crown and cradles his baby bump while holding a bouquet of yet more flowers.

He captioned the shot: "SURPRISE! I can’t believe I’m finally announcing this. My little bundle of joy MONTERO is due September 17, 2021."

The "expectant father" later posted several more snaps, promoting the arrival of his "child":

The 'Old Town Road' hitmaker also premiered the music video for his single 'That's What I Want'. The video pays homage to the Oscar-winning classic Brokeback Mountain and includes a cameo from Broadway star Billy Porter.

Montero features collaborations with pop artist Miley Cyrus and fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion. It comes after the success of the rapper's debut EP titled 7, which was released in 2019.
