Macklemore has made a huge promise as Ed Sheeran makes major change to tonight's concert after dropping him

Macklemore has made a huge move in continuing his support of Palestine, after being kicked off Ed Sheeran's Loop tour.
The US rapper released a lengthy statement on social media, explaining that he was removed from Ed Sheeran's tour after he made comments in support of Palestine.
Following Macklemore's removal from Ed Sheeran's tour, every other artist involved has withdrawn in response to the decision.
It comes after Sheeran took to social media to explain the decision, saying he didn't want his shows to become a 'political forum'.
Finneas, Lukas Graham, and other supporting acts, including Sheeran's own band, took to social media to confirm that they would no longer open for the British artist on his tour.
Now, Macklemore has further emphasized his support for the Palestinian people.
Macklemore donates more to Palestine
Grammy-winner Macklemore has pledged $1 million to Palestinian relief nonprofits, fully committing to donating his entire net earnings from the Loop tour to six nonprofits in particular.
He had explained in an Instagram post on Wednesday that he wanted to “bring the conversation back to where it belongs,” speaking about the Palestinian people.
Among the six donation recipients were the Medical Aid for Palestinians, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA.
He also mentioned 15-year-old Muhammad al Zinati in his latest social media post, explaining that he was murdered in Israeli strikes while trying to help an aid worker.
Their leaders were thankful for the donation, while also welcoming the increased public awareness of the chilling living conditions faced by the Palestinian people.
Macklemore has donated to Palestine in the past, having previously pledged proceeds and streaming royalties from protest songs 'Hind's Hall' and 'Hind's Hall 2' to UNRWA.
Since then, over $509,000 has been donated through royalties, as per UNRWA USA CEO Mara Kronenfeld.
She explained: "He has been contributing to saving probably hundreds of thousands of lives in Gaza through his contributions already."
Ed Sheeran makes huge change to upcoming show
The Shape of You artist has a show tonight (September 19) at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field.
It will be the Brit's first live show since the controversy with his supporting acts began, with pro-Palestinian groups planning to protest outside the venue.
"Our officers are talking to his team to make sure all appropriate measures are taken for protection and ensure Sheeran's safety," Jasmine Reilly, a spokesperson for the Philadelphia Police Department stated.
But while the original start time for the gig was set at 5:30 pm, Sheeran is set to start his set at around 8 pm.
Despite this, the concert is listed to start at 8 pm on Ticketmaster, so it's possible that the artist may not have a support act.
Sheeran's band have already officially backed out, but the remaining dates for his tour are still set to begin at 5:30 pm despite Sheeran being the only one listed on the line-up.
