Mariah Carey belted out some of her famous vocals while receiving the Covid-19 vaccine, much to the excitement of her fans.
> Wearing sunglasses indoors, she said that she was "excited and a little nervous about getting this shot." Speaking about filming getting the jab, she continued: "This is distracting them from doing their job but you know how I am, I don't really think about it. Trying to encourage people to really be safe, you know, we're still in this battle together." She proceeded to joke that they would need to edit the video as "we're all used to" Mariah speaking over other people. Then, when a doctor asked her to relax her arm, she replied, "I'm filming, that's my problem, I'm in my filming stance." As the shot was administered, she squealed and then hit a high note close to her trademark vocal whistle. She applauded herself, and then reminded her fans that "it's only part one" and that she will need to receive a second dose of the vaccine in around 12 weeks. Her famous friends and fans were quick to congratulate the singer on receiving the jab. Model Naomi Campbell posted to red heart emojis, while Kelly Rowland jokingly poked fun, writing: "It's the 'medical narrative' for me!!" Musician and actor Tyrese Gibson added, "Did my part 1 ......2 days ago it was wild no side effects so God is good". Congratulations Mariah! (Feature image credit: Alamy)
