Martha Stewart was recently called "hot" during a chat with Drew Barrymore, and her reaction was amazing!

Stewart, 82, definitely falls into the category of national treasure and each interview she gives seems to reaffirm exactly this.

In a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Stewart candidly shared her thoughts on the unexpected praise she's received for photos of herself online, commonly referred to as "thirst traps."

The conversation took an interesting turn during the episode aired on Friday, December 8, as Stewart discussed her 2023 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut and her recent accolade of being named one of the Most Stylish People of the Year by The New York Times.

Barrymore, curious about Stewart's perspective, asked the 82-year-old: "How does it feel to be this hot?"

Stewart responded with a laugh, saying: "I had to wait a long time. It's like sad, you know? You wait so many years, and then, finally, you're 'hot'? Oh God, I was hot when I was, you know, 19."

Despite her take on the situation, Stewart's beauty has been a subject of admiration, evolving like a fine wine with age.

Watch the interview below:

Not only do many believe that her appearance has improved with age, but her confidence has also seen a significant boost, especially since her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit feature.

Stewart even hinted at a potential return to the magazine, expressing her desire to bare even more skin and grace the cover in a bikini.

"I'm working on the bikini body now," Stewart revealed during an interview with PEOPLE on the red carpet at the 2023 Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York City last month.

She stated that wearing a two-piece is now her "new objective."

Earlier this year Stewart addressed the attention to her flawless look in her 80s. She remarked: "It is a testament to good living. I think all of us should think about good living and not about aging. The whole aging thing is so boring."

Stewart expressed hope that her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover would inspire women to embrace new experiences, stating, "Trying new things is very good. Being fearless is very good. Don't be afraid of anything."
