Michael Jackson's eldest son Prince has graduated from college, and he has the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of his famous father and make a huge difference in the world.

22-year-old Prince - whose given name is Michael Joseph Jackson Jr - underwent a commencement ceremony on May 11 at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and was rewarded with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

On Twitter, it was his cousin TJ Jackson who confirmed that Prince was officially an alumnus at Loyola Marymount University, saying on the micro-blogging site that it had been a long road for the 22-year-old.

"Prince, it’s been a long road but you did it. Keep learning, keep growing and keep giving back! So so proud of you. I love you."

In addition to that, Prince Jackson kept us up to date via Instagram Story, and the crowning moment of his graduation came when he officially took his first sip from the Loyola Marymount University Alumni cup.

Here's that glorious moment on camera:

Prior to attending Loyola, Prince (who is Michael Jackson's eldest child) also went to the prestigious Buckley School, where the likes of Rashida Jones, Matthew Perry and Kim Kardashian also went to school.

Congratulations, Prince! Whatever you get up to now, I'm sure your father would have been incredibly proud.
