Now, Brown's accent has been called into question over the past few months, and the internet is still not ready to let it go.

It all started after the 20-year-old actress appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this year where fans accused her of "changing her accent."

The Stranger Things star has been known to have a pretty strong British accent, growing up in Bournemouth in the United Kingdom for eight years before moving to Florida.

While she initially kept her original twang over the years, things have now seemingly shifted as fans noticed that her accent sounds wildly different from her usual one, with some even branding it a "valley girl" accent.

The drama surrounding the issue has worsened after Brown posted a new video to her official Instagram account.

"Underneath is what counts," the actress captioned a video in which she dropped her latest intimates collection which involves shapewear and seamless underwear.

Despite giving fans a little glimpse of some of the pieces in the collection, they were too busy commenting on her accent.

"The british and the american accent fighting each other," wrote this user, while another added: "Just pick one and stick with it it can’t be that hard."

A third also stated she was "struggling" between the two accents.

"Wow! She's really losing her super British accent she used to have," this user chimed in with.

Brown has previously spoken out about the issue.

When asked about her ever-changing accent by Max Balegde during a press promotion junket for Damsel, she said: "But let me just speak to that real quick. So, I’m an actor. I grew up in the public eye. I grew up in America. I come to set and I’m an actor and I adapt. I want to mimic people.

"I can’t help that when I’m around my fiancé [Jake Bongiovi] or when I’m around Jimmy Fallon, who [both] have a very American accent, I want to replicate it," she continued before adding: "I don’t do it intentionally and I’m sorry if it offends you. But listen, I’m trying my best!"
