Neighbor speaks out after being filmed in violent brawl with Reacher star Alan Ritchson
The neighbor of Reacher star Alan Ritchson has spoken out after being filmed in a violent encounter with the TV star.
Ronnie Taylor gave his version of events after the footage went viral online.
Reacher star Alan Ritchson filmed in brawl with neighbor
The shocking - and frankly strange - footage emerged on Sunday showing the musclebound star of Reacher seemingly engaged in a fight with his neighbor after a confrontation about motorcycle noise.
Eyewitnesses initially seemed to come to the defence of the Hollywood star, claiming that Taylor had started the fight, but now his neighbor has also given his version of events.
So far, Ritchson has only posted a cryptic quote on social media stating ‘never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake’ and given a few words to the Daily Mail about the incident.
The 43-year-old, who is also the star of Netflix’s War Machine, simply told reporters: “I can't answer questions about that right now, there's an active investigation.”
The fight, which took place in a neighborhood of Brentwood, Tennessee, is the subject of an investigation by local police, who confirmed in a statement that said: “There is an active investigation, and no arrests have been made.
“There will be a police report available when the investigation has concluded.”
Ronnie Taylor tells his side of the Alan Ritchson fight story
Taylor, giving his version of events, told the Mail that he would ‘hardly call it a fight’ and did not respond to the claims that he started it.
As for his alleged opponent’s fame, he said: “I did not know who he was or care. I only found out after the incident.”
In another interview, he explained how the actor allegedly rode his motorcycle through the area at high speed, and the first time he did so, Taylor made a gesture towards him.
Then, the second time, he confronted the actor and asked him not to ride his bike in that way.
That exchange then turned physical.
Taylor, who calls himself an ‘experienced motorbike rider’, was angered and confronted Ritchson about his riding at speed, but was later ‘pushed’ and Ritchson ‘kicked the crap’ out of him.
“I don’t wish the guy any malice or ill will,” he said.
“We just don’t need people riding through neighborhoods like this and I just decided I [was] going to take a stand because someone had to.”
Sources close to the actor present a different case again, with TMZ reporting that Taylor pushed him off his bike twice.
The sources also said that Ritchson has been ‘cooperative with the police and nobody has been arrested’.
Alan Ritchson has discussed his mental health in the past
Ritchson, who has starred in Reacher for four seasons, has also appeared in Smallville, Blood Drive, and Titans.
He has also starred in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and - more recently - War Machine.
In 2024, the actor claimed that he had attempted suicide in the past and had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
He has also claimed in the past that he was sexually assaulted while working in the modelling industry.
