North West has sparked a debate on social media after she brutally roasted her mom Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson.

The 10-year-old daughter of the SKIMS mogul and Kanye West appeared on the latest episode of The Kardashians - which showed the famous family making their annual appearance at the prestigious fashion event, the Met Gala.

North joined the 43-year-old reality TV star during the fittings for her look and made it clear that she didn’t quite approve of her Schiaparelli gown, which was made by the renowned designer Daniel Roseberry.

When Daniel himself said to North "I heard you were into the look," she savagely replied, "Yeah, well, it could be just a little better." And that was probably the least cutting part of her critique...

Going on to critique the dress a little more, Kardashian's unfiltered child said: "There’s way too much gaps in the pearls. It looks like she’s a Hawaiian girl with her dress all ripped... The pearls look fake."

Kardashian then let her daughter know that the pearls were, in fact, real and "very expensive," however, North contended that they looked like they were "from the dollar store".

Daniel was seen looking awkward as North shared all the things she didn't love about the outfit, and admitted it was his "worst nightmare" to be "read to filth by a 10-year-old."

The business mogul later asked North to go easy on her with her negative comments, which prompted her daughter to say: "I’m not gonna lie. I won’t say it at all if you don’t want me to. I’m not gonna lie."

The criticism didn't stop there as North did not hold back when judging the looks of other celebrities - one of whom happened to be her mon's ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson.

The former Saturday Night Live comedian wore a tie-dye shirt with black pants and a long black coat for the event. He paired the ensemble with black gloves, a bucket hat, and shades over his eyes.

When he hit the carpet, North and her cousin Penelope Disick - daughter of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick - said they "hate" his outfit, to which North brutally added: "You’re going to the Met Gala, Pete. Not the gas station."

Since the episode aired this week, several clips of the mother and daughter's interactions have circulated online, and it’s left many people with mixed thoughts.

On one hand, some users have applauded Kardashian for letting her child express herself openly.

"It's so cool that Kim shows interest in North’s opinions and actually talks with her about them rather than just telling her to sit down and shut up like y’all seem to prefer to do children," one tweet read.

Another chimed in: "Kim clearly believes in allowing her daughter to be herself and learn that her opinion and feelings matter. North seems filterless, not rude," while a third wrote: "I don’t like how much the internet is trying to correct or criticize the way North West expresses herself."

"Or how Kim lets her express herself. She is a kid, yes… but she has opinions, thoughts, feelings… just because you had to 'stay in a child’s place' doesn’t mean she does," they added.

However, others felt that North took it too far, with one user writing: "I thought this was going to be funny but it’s giving entitlement. You can tell Daniel was a bit annoyed by the criticism."

A second remarked: "I hate to be that person but…I don’t find North West behavior cute at all," someone else said: "It is not because you are rich that it must give you the right to be rude and disrespectful to people’s work."

Kardashian seemed unfazed by her eldest daughter's comments and revealed in the confessional that she reminds her of the late Fashion Police host, Joan Rivers.

"All North wants to do is rate people’s outfits. She loves to critique, North is like the new Joan Rivers, if you ask me," she said, before adding: "You can’t really take it seriously getting roasted by a 10-year-old. I never do, but it stings a little."

You can watch The Kardashians on Hulu in the US and Disney+ internationally.
