Camryn Magness, a talented musician who once opened for One Direction and Fifth Harmony, has tragically passed away at the age of 26.
The news was shared on her social media accounts on Tuesday, accompanied by a clip of Camryn scuba diving and blowing a kiss to the camera.
The post read: “Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of our beloved Camryn, a radiant force whose voice, coy, and bright spirit touched so many. Whether beneath the waves or on stage, she met life with fearless energy and boundless kindness.”
According to her obituary, Camryn passed away last Friday. She was engaged to her fiancé, Christian, with whom she had shared several years of her life.
Early Passion and Musical Journey
Camryn’s love for music began in childhood.
At just eight years old, she recorded a demo and sent it to manager Jeff Pringle, who immediately took her on as a client.
In a 2012 interview with Teen Vogue, she said: “After that, I started recording and writing and that's when I got my first tour with Cody Simpson and Greyson Chance.”
She soon toured with Cody Simpson and Greyson Chance on their Waiting 4U Tour in 2010 and again with Greyson in 2012, showcasing her talent to growing audiences.
Touring with Top Pop Acts
Camryn’s career quickly gained momentum.
In 2012, she opened for One Direction on seven shows of their first headlining Up All Night Tour and returned to open for them during their 2013 Take Me Home Tour.
A few years later, she joined Fifth Harmony on their 7/27 Tour in 2016, cementing her reputation as a sought-after opening act in pop music.

Her last album, Love Maps, was released in 2021, highlighting her singer-songwriter abilities and personal growth as an artist.
Camryn is survived by her parents, Sarah and Gary, her siblings Chelsea and Cable, and her fiancé, Christian.
She is remembered for her fearless energy, her dedication to music, and the kindness she shared with everyone around her.
Though her life was tragically cut short, Camryn leaves behind a lasting legacy through her music and the countless lives she touched on and off the stage.
