Meadow Walker, the daughter of the late Paul Walker, has split from her husband after two years of marriage.
Meadow and actor Louis Thornton-Allan tied the knot in a ceremony in the Dominican Republic in October 2021 and announced their split through a joint statement on their Instagram accounts on Wednesday.
The statement read: “After three wonderful years of marriage, we have come to the agreement to amicably separate. This is truly a united decision, and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy. We maintain mutual love and respect for one another, and will continue to support each other.”
The news of the separation comes shortly after Meadow's Instagram carousel post titled "Australia Forever," featuring clips of her enjoying a vacation Down Under.
Shortly after their marriage, Meadow shared a black-and-white video of the wedding which captured the moment when her godfather, Vin Diesel, walked her down the aisle, and Jordana Brewster, a close family friend, gave her a warm hug.
Meadow announced her engagement to Louis in August 2021, sharing a glimpse of her engagement ring in an Instagram post in a swimming pool. The couple went public with their relationship in July, with Thornton-Allan posting a photo of them gazing at each other, captioned, "Best friend," to which Walker responded, "My love."
Earlier this year, Meadow joined Vin Diesel at the premiere of the latest installment in the Fast and Furious franchise.
The movie series, known for its adrenaline-pumping car chases and intense action, also carries the weight of a heartbreaking tragedy. Paul Walker, who portrayed Brian O'Conner in the series, tragically lost his life on November 30, 2013, in a car crash, leaving fans in mourning.
After attending the premiere, Meadow wrote: "The first fast was released when I was one year old! I grew up on set watching my father, Vin, Jordana, Michelle, Chris and more on the monitors. Thanks to my dad, I was born into the fast family. I can’t believe now I get to be up there too."
The model extended her gratitude to the movie's director, Louis Leterrier, saying: "Thank you @louisleterrierpro for your kindness, patience and support. It feels like you’ve been part of the family since we started, I’m happy it’s just the beginning."
Acknowledging Brandon Birtel, her late father's producing partner, Meadow expressed her appreciation for his assistance during her cameo, saying: "I am so blessed to be able to honor my father’s legacy and share this with him forever. I love you all so much."
