Since Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson went public with their relationship, the couple have set about being as flirtatious with one another as possible. While the relationship was only confirmed a matter of weeks ago, the young pair seem very much in love and are happy to let the world know about it.
The duo became official after rumours began to circulate that Grande had ditched her former rapper-beau Mac Miller in favour of the SNL star.
Upon hearing the news that their favourite couple had split - and that the rapper had been arrested for DUI in the aftermath of the breakup - many of Mac's fans criticised the singer for leaving the rapper, who they believed had penned an entire album about the Side To Side singer. One fan wrote:
"Mac Miller totalling [sic] his G wagon and getting a DUI after Ariana Grande dumped him for another dude after he poured his heart out on a ten song album to her called the divine feminine is just the most heartbreaking thing happening in Hollywood."
However, while Ariana Grande may give off an "innocent" image, it appears that doesn't suffer fools lightly. After seeing one too many tweets criticising her for leaving the troubled rapper - who has regularly struggled with addiction - Grande responded to the criticism, writing:
"How absurd that you minimize female self-respect and self-worth by saying someone should stay in a toxic relationship because he wrote an album about them, which btw isn't the case (just Cinderella is ab me)."
Then, she explained how frustrating it was to have to look after someone other than herself. "I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be.
"I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course) but shaming/blaming women for a man's inability to keep his shit together is a very major problem. Let's please stop doing that.
"Of course I didn't share about how hard or scary it was while it was happening but it was. I will continue to pray from the bottom of my heart that he figures it all out and that any other woman in this position does as well."
Despite the turmoil of her previous relationship, Ariana has been very open about her new-found happiness and the couple seem to be going from strength-to-strength. In fact, such is their admiration for one another, Pete felt the need to leave a very NSFW comment on Ariana's latest photo.
Ariana recently uploaded a teaser for her new song "The Light is Coming". And, within minutes of the upload, Ariana's new BF decided to pop up in comments with some words of encouragement. And what were those lovely, poetic, heartfelt words?
"Pete is coming."
Of course, Ariana fans went into meltdown at the comment.
So, it seems like the couple are getting more and more comfortable with their relationship being online. Who knows what they will do next?
