I will happily fight anybody that doesn't agree that The Proposal is the greatest romantic-comedy of the naughties.

Starring Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock, the movie follows Canadian executive Margaret (Bullock), as she attempts to earn a US visa by getting her assistant, Andrew (Reynolds), to act as her fiancé and marry her. The only problem? They hate each other (and it's highly illegal).

Seriously, if you haven't seen it, check out the trailer below - I've just sorted your weekend plans:

Seriously, ignore the 6.7/10 IMDb rating - the movie is pure gold. And one of the biggest reasons for the movie being so iconic is the fact it stars screen legend Betty White as Andrew's grandmother, Gammy Annie.

Throughout the movie, White proves she hasn't missed a beat, despite being 87-years-old upon the movie's release.

Fast-forward 11 years later, and Betty White is celebrating her 98th birthday - and as a way of making her day the best it possibly could be, Reynolds and Bullock collaborated to make White a special (and hilarious) birthday video message.

Check out their birthday message below:

Ryan accompanied the video with a message to his 34.7 million Instagram followers that read: "Happy 98th Birthday to the one and only Betty White!"

While singing happy birthday to their former co-star and beloved friend (also, shout out to Ryan's ability to hold a note), it isn't long before the pair are playfully taking shots at each other.

And Ryan's followers adored the video, with it being viewed more than 6.5 million times in under 24 hours.

Even singing sensation Mariah Carey commented on the video, saying: "Awww happy birthday Betty!! (Sidebar-you know I love that movie right??)"

To celebrate her birthday, Netflix released the 2018 documentary Betty White: First Lady of Television, celebrating White's legendary roles on the small screen.

Ah, it's great to see these two back together, but most importantly - Happy 98th birthday, Betty! (Please make a The Proposal 2.)
