Salma Hayek took to Instagram yesterday (October 19) to share a very natural-looking selfie. Looking stunning as usual, a number of fans drew attention to the fact that she was aging incredibly - like a fine wine, no less.
The gorgeous snap has since garnered 409,000 likes and over 3,000 comments at the time of writing.

Needless to say, fans of the 54-year-old Frida actress could not get over how beautiful she looked - and in very minimal makeup!
One commenter said the Mexican-born actress was "[like a] fine aged wine."

Diehard fan @itslovesalmahayek told the brunette beauty, "You are so perfect, I love it so much that I don't even know to explain."
Back in 2017, Hayek opened up to Net-A-Porter's online publication, The Edit, about how certain things in her life have changed since she turned 50.
"The worst part of the aging process has been my eyes," the actress told the publication. "Not the wrinkles - the eyes themselves. I’m such a visual person and [now] I cannot read without depending on glasses."

"It has been really, really sad. The eyes, for me, that’s worse than the menopause," she added. "I will sometimes say, ‘I am 50 years old! Why do I have to look good? I already got my guy!’" Hayek says. "But then, I don’t want to lose the guy, either."

The film industry has not exactly been known to be welcoming towards women who have reached a certain age, and yet Hayek has a very refreshing approach to aging.
Well, it looks like she might have her mother and grandmother to thank for being so at peace with what is actually just a natural and inevitable process.
"My mother always demonstrated the importance of aging gracefully," Hayek told InStyle in 2019. "I never saw her or my grandmother being afraid of getting old. And so I don’t have that fear."
