Some people really do seem to have mastered the art of never ageing a day, don't they?

While the rest of us battle in vain against the effects of Father Time's relentless march, otherwise breeze blithely through the intervening years, seemingly untouched by the passing of time.

Of course, ageing is something that should be celebrated rather than decried. Ageing means we're wiser and more mature than our previous selves, able to draw upon the experiences of our lives to help inform our future decisions.

However, it is hard not to feel a little envious when people like Jennifer Lopez and Salma Hayek continue to look as flawless and youthful as they did more than 20 years ago.

Salma Hayek, for instance, has just taken to her Instagram page to post a bikini comparison. The first picture is of Hayek posing for European H&M bathing suit campaign from way back in 1999. ""This photo is from a European bathing suit campaign I did for H&M in 1999" the actress captioned the post.

In her second post, Hayek flashed forwards to 2020, and recreated the pose, this time wearing a sophisticated one-piece bathing suit in a similar hue to the original bikini picture.

"2020: More than 20 years after my last post. Ready for the weekend! Have a great #Friday!" She captioned the second post.

And fans were blown away by the recreation of the photoshoot.

"Aging never looked better! Goddess" wrote one fan, while another added, "Looks like time stop, you are more beautiful than before 20 years".

"How is it possible that you grow even more beautiful (body and soul) every day! I must find your secret!" a third commenter wrote.

In a 2016 interview with Harper's Bazaar. Hayek discussed getting older, telling the publication:

"Well I am entering my fifties so your body confidence isn’t that good. I think it depends on the day, for everybody, there’s some days you say, ‘This is it,’ and you love it. Then there are days when you go, ‘This can not be it! Is this really it?’ So I think it’s up and down all the time!"

And the Like A Boss star previously revealed some of her best beauty tips in an interview with The New York Times, revealing in 2017:

"I never cleanse my skin in the morning. My grandmother taught me that at night your skin replenishes all the things you lost during the day. Also, if I cleanse very well at night, why would it be dirty when I wake up? It’s for companies to have you use more products.

"At night I take off my makeup with coconut oil. Then I use rose water to take off the residuals. You can use a hot towel with the rose water — you put a wet towel in the microwave — to do a little steam. I’ll use the chamomile cleanser from Nuance. Then I splash with cold water."
