Myleene Klass revealed that she discovered her then-husband cheating on her with a well-known celebrity who is known for promoting "family values".
The 47-year-old singer and presenter first met Graham Quinn in 2001 when he was working as a bodyguard for her pop group Hear’Say.
The former couple went on to spend over a decade together, eventually marrying in 2011 -but Klass has now shared that their relationship was rocked by betrayal long before they officially tied the knot.
Speaking on the We Need To Talk podcast with Paul Brunson, the TV presenter and singer, now 47, said that she once caught Quinn cheating on her with another famous star at her own birthday party.
“I walked in on him with a famous person on my birthday on a balcony,” she recalled. “They weren’t having sex, but they were unzipping each other.”
Klass said both Quinn and the unnamed woman immediately claimed, “It’s not what you think,” to which she replied: “It is what I think.” She added that the incident was “a pretty big red flag,” but she still went ahead with their wedding.
“I kicked everyone out of the party, including his mum and dad. They went back to Ireland, and his dad said, ‘He doesn’t get it from me.’ I remember thinking that was quite a weird thing to say," she added.
While Klass declined to name the woman, she hinted that the other party has built her career around a wholesome image.
“They’ve managed to continue building a family brand on it,” she said. “My life literally just broke apart very, very publicly.”
Despite her doubts, the TV presenter married Quinn in an intimate ceremony in October 2011, but she said she cried the night before and felt something was wrong.
“I was in the bath… just sobbing because something didn’t feel right,” she told Loose Women, per Daily Mail. A close friend even offered to help her flee before the ceremony.
Klass revealed that Quinn refused to sign a prenuptial agreement, kept her closest friend from attending the wedding, and blamed his infidelity on alcohol. She admitted she already suspected cheating before the wedding and realized just three days into the marriage that it wouldn’t last.
The pair officially separated six months later, divorcing in 2013. Klass shared that the fallout was deeply painful, both emotionally and financially. “I married a convicted drug dealer and didn’t sign a prenup. What was I thinking?” she told the Mirror. “Everyone could hear the alarm bells except me.”
The former Hear’Say singer also revealed the affair left lasting scars. During her Loose Women interview, she recalled one of the women involved even asked her for a photo.
“I said, ‘No. I do not agree with what you stand for'...You’re messing with people’s emotions and their lives. They have permanent repercussions," she revealed.
Klass later admitted to struggling with alcohol during the breakup, revealing on the White Wine Question Time podcast that she sometimes drank before 11AM and couldn’t go more than a few hours without it.
“I couldn’t breathe,” she recalled. “I thought, ‘I’m going to lose everything.’”
The couple shares two daughters, Ava, now 17, and Hero, 13. Myleene said she has raised them alone for the past 12 years.
Meanwhile, Quinn has denied the accusations, accusing Klass of slandering him in the press and blocking access to his children.
Now in a stable and happy relationship with PR executive Simon Motson, Myleene says she’s made peace with her past but remains cautious for the sake of her kids.
“My children have asked enough questions,” she said. “It’s never been a case of laying out my stall. It’s got to be as and when.”
