The lead guitarist for Guns N' Roses, 59, had announced the heartbreaking news earlier in the week, telling his Instagram followers that his stepdaughter had died "peacefully" in LA on July 19.
His post read: "Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024.
"Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul," the tribute continued. "The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss."
7News reports that the news comes after the guitarist canceled a number of his upcoming performances.
The musician and his family were inundated with an outpouring of love and condolences in the wake of the tragedy, with Red Hot Chili Pepper’s bassist Flea commenting: "Oh man, god bless."
Musician Melissa Reese added: "There are no words. Sending absolutely all of my love and hugs and condolences and support to you guys."
And model Susan Holmes wrote: "Words cannot express our deepest sympathy and condolences. love you all so much."
Slash has now shared a heartfelt tribute to Knight, writing on Instagram alongside a photo of the young woman: "My heart is permanently fractured.
"I will never ever stop missing you & remembering what a beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity & beauty you have always been. & still are.
"The brightest light in the lives of so many that loved you so much. I find solace in the hope that you are at peace now. I will love you eternally. #LBK."
After her death was announced, a post also appeared on Knight's own Instagram page, which many believed she'd scheduled in advance.
Alongside a photo of herself, she'd written: "Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/ controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity-I am sorry.
"Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable.
"May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace."
Knight had worked as a day-to-day manager at Electric Lady Management and also shared pictures of her work as a tattoo artist on social media.
No further details about her death have yet been shared.
