Following an intense election night on November 6, it has been confirmed that Donald Trump will be returning to the White House as the nation's 47th President of the United States.
Though Trump managed to secure over 50.1 percent of the votes compared to his opponent Kamala Harris who only managed to get 48.3 percent, murmurs of disbelief and controversy continued to swirl among his critics who rejected the idea of another MAGA reign.
One of those people was none other than Snow White star Rachel Zegler who took to her Instagram Stories with a lengthy statement about her opinion on the matter.

Deeming Trump's next term as "four years of hatred", she said: "I shouldn't be this shocked, but I am. I am heartbroken for my friends who awoke in fear this morning. And I am here with you. To cry, to yell, to hug. to wax poetic on how the left continues to fail us in forging a new path forward. This loss should not have been. And it certainly should not have been by so many votes."
She went on to state that she hopes Trump voters as well as the 78-year-old himself "never know peace," before concluding: "F*** Donald Trump.”
The actress received backlash for her comments and was even branded “a pig” by right-wing pundit Megyn Kelly.
Many even called for the star to be stripped of her Snow White role.

"Rachel Zegler hopes Trump supporters never know peace, tells her followers to get off X because Elon Musk supported Trump, and ends with- 'F*** Donald Trump.' THIS is Disney’s Snow White. (btw she probably won’t face any consequences for posting this by Disney due to their unfair double standard)," wrote one user on X.
Another added: "I just want to point out that @Disney continues to employ Rachel Zegler who posted this UNHINGED rant about Trump supporters (the majority of voters in the country) but fired sweet @ginacarano for asking people to love their neighbors. What is wrong with Disney?"
"Rachel Zegler is plausibly the worst investment that Disney has ever made. It’s one thing to state that you supported Kamala - it is her right to express that. But she has quite literally wished harm on all who supported Trump. Snow White is mentally unwell," a third commented on the social media platform.
And this user was also less-than-impressed, stating: "Snow White is supposed to embody grace, kindness, and charm - three things Zegler has somehow managed to be the polar opposite of. She’s more like 'Snow Fight,' constantly dragging people instead of bringing magic to the role."

In the wake of all the hate, the 23-year-old has apologized for her words.
“Hi everyone, I would like to sincerely apologize for the election post I shared on my Instagram last week," she wrote in a follow-up post published to her Instagram Stories. "Hatred and anger have caused us to move further and further away from peace and understanding, and I am sorry I contributed to the negative discourse.
"This week has been emotional for so many of us, but I firmly believe that everyone has the right to their opinion, even when it differs from my own. I am committed to contributing positively towards a better tomorrow," she added in the statement.

Zegler is the lead of Disney’s $200m-budgeted live-action take on Snow White - alongside Gal Gadot, who will play the Evil Queen.
The project is co-written by Greta Gerwig, who was responsible for the iconic Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
Snow White is set to be released in March 2025.
