Eva Amurri, who famously clapped back at critics of her wedding dress just months ago, recently revealed she underwent a breast reduction and lift earlier this month.
And true to form, Susan Sarandon’s daughter has been sharing every emotional step of her recovery on Instagram.
Last week, Amurri posted a video filmed just after her surgery, with husband Ian Hock by her side, driving her home.
In the candid clip, the star admitted to having a “mental breakdown” before going under the knife — but was quick to add that it ended up being an “easy” and “great” experience overall.
At one touching point, Amurri even broke down in tears — over the “nice” snacks her doctor had sent her post-procedure.
The Undateable alum first announced her decision on April 2 with a hilarious and heartfelt Instagram post featuring a "bye bye boobies" cake.
“I’m doing something I’ve wanted to do for 20 years,” she wrote. “This will be my first surgery, and first time going under general anesthesia EVER.
“It feels surreal and empowering to be finally doing something that I had always wanted to do, but hadn’t simply because of fear of anesthesia,” she continued.
Two weeks later, Amurri shared even more about her "chrysalis era," reflecting on the surprising lessons she’s been learning while healing.
In a carousel post, she talked about everything from salon blowouts (because she couldn’t do her own hair) to unexpected bruises — and the surprising emotional struggles of forced downtime.
“Resting is harder than I realized,” she admitted. “I feel a lot of guilt when I’m not doing something that can be seen as objectively productive.”

The conversation around Amurri’s body isn’t new. In January 2024, her cleavage sparked heated debate when she wore a strapless wedding gown that proudly showcased her curves, per Page Six.
At the time, Amurri clapped back fiercely, writing that her “size 32F boobs [had been] minding their business.”
Six months after tying the knot with Hock, 40, she opened up about how deeply the body-shaming affected her.
“I’m a human being just trying to feel beautiful, be a good person, raise my kids, and enjoy my life,” she shared with readers in a heartfelt blog post from July 2024.
Now, with her long-awaited surgery behind her, Amurri is focused on healing, self-love, and family.
She shares co-parenting duties for daughter Marlowe, 10, son Major, eight, and son Mateo, five, with her ex-husband, Kyle Martino.
