TikTok star Taylor Rousseau Grigg has died aged 25, according to a heartbreaking statement from her husband.

The social media creator, 25, had amassed over 1.4 million followers on the platform, as well as over 200,000 followers on Instagram, at the time of her death.

Her husband, Cameron Grigg, took to Instagram to share the news of her passing, describing it as "sudden and unexpected".

He told his followers: "No one ever expects to have to deal with this kind of pain and heartache, especially at our age. This past year Taylor has dealt with more pain and suffering than most people do in a lifetime."

He added: "Her earthly body is still here with us being ran by machines to keep her organs viable for donation. More than anything Taylor would want to know that she’s continuing to save people’s lives even after she’s gone from this world.

"And even though her earthly body may have failed her, her memory and life will be carried on forever."

Cameron, who'd married Taylor just over a year ago, continued: "She doesn’t owe anyone, anything. But she would want everyone to know that shes more than ok.

"While her earthly body is still here waiting to give the gift of life, we know her spirit is in heaven dancing in the streets made of gold with all her beauty and grace. Her endless shoe/boot collection. And her rhinestones and turquoise jewelry.

"She’s no longer in pain, but her body has been made whole in Jesus name. We can praise God that she will endure no more suffering and she is truly set free from these earthly chains! SHES BEEN MADE WHOLE AND PERFECT!"

He added: "I cling to the fact of knowing that we will be seeing her again! And we will be able to spend all of eternity together!"

Cameron also revealed that Taylor had been "in and out of the hospital" since they got married, and their finances had been affected by her "sudden and unexpected" death as they did not have health insurance.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help her family, which has already raised almost $22,000 of its $100,000 target at the time of writing.

In August, Taylor had told her followers she'd been facing medical issues that had left her feeling like she was "fighting for my life every day" and often dealing with intense pain.

She revealed that she had eventually been diagnosed by a doctor after spending a long time not knowing what was wrong with her, though she did not reveal her diagnosis publicly.

Our thoughts remain with Taylor's family and loved ones during this heartbreaking time.
