One of the most talked-about subjects in pop-culture is celebrity relationships. Sure, they're interesting when someone who's rich and famous decides to date an Average Joe like you or me, but what really gets tongues wagging is celebs who date each other.

People being people, they love a good gossip, and what's more, they love scandal! Just think about the media storm that erupts every time Selena and Justin get back together, or each time Miley and Liam break up.

Now, the latest member of the younger generation of celebs to make a fairly big revelation about his love life is 20-year-old Jaden Smith, son of Hollywood legend, Will Smith. While performing at a concert Creator's 2018 Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in California, Jaden made the outrageous claim that he was dating 27-year-old rapper Tyler, The Creator.

Now, if you've followed Jaden's career, you'll know that he is certainly a flamboyant and enigmatic individual. But to go as far as to publically out himself and his friend/potential boyfriend, it all seems a little bizarre. Watch the video and see what you think. Is it genuine?

Check out the outrageous video below to watch the crowd go absolutely crazy for the news:

While the crowd was vehemently in favor of the relationship, the same could not be said about Tyler himself, who was honed in on by one audience member's camera wearing a white mask and a red hoodie, waving his arms seemingly in disagreement.

Even though this seemed to serve that this was nothing more than one friend declaring their love for another, Jaden did not change his stance on what he had said, taking to Twitter to write, "Yup @tylerthecreator I Told Everyone You Can't Deny It Now [sic]."

But given that Jaden has been vocal about his love about his male friends before, there's still a chance he was saying boyfriend platonically.

Check out the video below to see Jaden once again profess his love for a male friend:

So, are these guys actually together? And are they even gay?

Well, referring to Leonardo DiCaprio in a 2015 Rolling Stone interview, Tyler did say he "100% would go gay for '96 Leo", and he once posted a picture of the actor from the 1996 Romeo + Juliet movie with the words "yes boyfriend yes".

In 2015, Tyler also tweeted: "I TRIED TO COME OUT THE DAMN CLOSET LIKE FOUR DAYS AGO AND NO ONE CARED HAHAHHAHAHA."

Also in 2015 (back when they were both relatively unknown) Jaden appeared to announce his love for Tyler on Twitter, writing, "I think I'm in love with you," alongside a birthday message. "I don't know I'm still figuring it out but in the meantime happy birthday."

This tweet subsequently received a lot of media attention with many publications reporting that Jaden had come out. "It happened!" Media Take Out reported. "Will Smith's son Jaden Smith comes out of the closet, he admitted on Twitter that he's gay."

These headlines, however, were rebuked by a Smith family representative who said to Philadelphia magazine, "There's no truth to any of it."

In Tyler's back catalog, the rapper was heavily criticized for his use of the word "f*ggot" in his songs - suggesting that he is far from gay. However, on his last album Flower Boy, he discussed his sexuality in what appeared to be a "breakthrough moment", and he has since been more open about his refusal to accept labels.

And despite wide speculation in the press, Jaden has never spoken about his sexuality but has openly discussed being gender fluid and is very open with his androgynous fashion choices.

So, what was Tyler's reaction to Jaden's claims? Well, it seems he took it all in jest:

Tyler replied, writing, "hahaha you a crazy n**** man [sic]", in an apparent denial of any relationship.

However, in a very interesting update to this story, Jaden's original post outing their relationship has now disappeared, leaving fans confused as to what exactly is going on.

"I just really want jaden smith and Tyler the Creator to be boyfriends for real :( y u delete the gay, jaden :((((, [sic]" wrote Twitter user @omgwtfbbqj.

Other people online expressed their bewilderment, with@allthegirlstoo tweeting "why did u delete ur tweet coward [sic]" and @wishyoudabest putting: "Can't believe he deleted that tweet. Everyone's confused now".

Yep, everyone certainly has been left confused by Jaden's behavior. But this certainly isn't the first time, and it probably won't be the last.
