Brooklyn Beckham has made explosive claims about his mother, Victoria Beckham, accusing her of humiliating him at his wedding in 2022.
The 26-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham shared the dramatic details of the alleged incident in a recent social media post, revealing tensions that have been building within the Beckham family for over a year.
Wedding Drama: A Humiliating Experience for Brooklyn Beckham
Brooklyn Beckham married Nicola Peltz in a lavish ceremony on her billionaire father Nelson Peltz’s estate in Palm Beach, Florida, in April 2022.
The star-studded guest list included big names like Gordon Ramsay, Serena Williams, Eva Longoria, and members of the Spice Girls.
However, the wedding was apparently overshadowed by what Brooklyn describes as a deeply uncomfortable moment involving his mother, per The Sun.
According to Brooklyn, the night before his wedding, members of his family told him that Nicola wasn’t “blood” and “not family.”
He also accused his parents of sending “endless attacks” against him both privately and publicly after he began standing up for himself.
The Shocking Alleged Incident During Brooklyn’s First Dance
In a bombshell Instagram post, Brooklyn detailed how his mother allegedly hijacked his first dance with his wife, Nicola.
The couple had planned a romantic moment to a carefully chosen song. However, the ceremony took an unexpected turn when singer Marc Anthony called Brooklyn to the stage, where he was supposed to dance with Nicola.
Instead, Brooklyn claims that his mother was waiting to dance with him. The situation reportedly became uncomfortable and humiliating when Victoria allegedly danced “very inappropriately” on him in front of their 500 wedding guests.
Brooklyn described the moment as “the most uncomfortable or humiliated” he had ever felt in his life.
Brooklyn stated: “We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.”
Tensions with the Beckham Family Escalate
Brooklyn’s accusations extend beyond the wedding incident. In his post, he opened up about his strained relationship with his family, claiming they have repeatedly disrespected his wife, Nicola, and that his efforts to bring the family together have been met with rejection.
He also revealed that his brothers had blocked him on social media, following what he described as an orchestrated attempt by his parents to control the narrative about their family.
“I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private,” Brooklyn shared.
“Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”
He added that he does not want to reconcile with his parents, declaring: “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Family Feuds and Press Drama
Brooklyn has been vocal about the constant media attention surrounding the Beckham family, and how his parents have used the press to manage their public image.
He claimed that his family’s value of public promotion and social media presence has overshadowed genuine family relationships.
The 26-year-old also accused his mother of inviting women from his past into their lives in ways that he believes were intended to make him and Nicola uncomfortable.
Despite attempts to spend quality time with his father, David Beckham, Brooklyn and Nicola were allegedly rejected during a visit to London for David’s 50th birthday.
Brooklyn claimed that his father would only agree to meet under the condition that Nicola wasn’t invited.
The family drama continued when Brooklyn received an invitation to celebrate David Beckham’s knighthood investiture in November, but he declined the offer.
Breaking Boundaries on Social Media
Recently, Brooklyn shared a recipe for “chicken-in-beer” on Instagram, a post that received a “like” from his mother, Victoria.
However, this seemingly harmless interaction led to further tensions. Within 48 hours, Brooklyn blocked his immediate family on social media.
This prompted confusion, with many initially believing that the Beckham family had unfollowed Brooklyn. However, his brother Cruz claimed that the truth was the opposite.
Cruz posted on social media, saying: “Not true. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.”
Legal Measures to Protect Mental Health
Brooklyn’s fractured relationship with his parents took a more serious turn recently when he reportedly sent a legal notice to both David and Victoria.
The letter warned the couple that they could only contact him through lawyers and requested that they refrain from tagging him on social media.
The notice also emphasized that any attempts to reconcile should be done privately, rather than publicly on social media.
A source close to Brooklyn told The Mirror that the legal action was a measure to protect his mental health, as he had been struggling with the emotional toll of the ongoing family drama.
“It had been leading to issues with his mental health… it was to protect himself,” the insider explained.
