Will Smith took to Instagram to seemingly poke fun at his "crushing" year following his wife Jada Pinket Smith's cheating scandal.
The 51-year-old actor made himself the butt of the joke a week after his wife spoke openly about her "entanglement" with 28-year-old singer August Alsina during an episode of Facebook Watch's Red Table Talk.
The father-of-two implied that he's had a "crushing" 2020 so far when he posted a video that shows him nearly being hit by a falling television screen.
In the clip, Will initially describes himself as a "team player" as he urged a man to hurl the TV from the building towards him. But the moment that Will turns his back, the man proceeds to chuck the TV screen in the box straight towards him.
"ME... 2020," he captioned the post.
In a candid exchange on Red Table Talk, Will and Jada revealed previously hidden details surrounding their secretive split in 2015, as well as where their relationship stands today.
Discussing his wife’s affair with Alsina, Will declared:
"I wasn’t sure I was ever going to speak to you again. The fact that I’m speaking to you again is a miracle. [Marriage] ain’t for the weak at heart. There’s just certain things that you have to go through… I sure wish it could be all magic and miracles."
Discussing her doubts over whether the relationship could ever be repaired, Jada added:
“I’m just happy ‘cause I definitely believe that you and I, we never, ever, ever thought that we would make it back."
Jada Pinkett Smith confronts Will Smith over alcohol use in 'Red Table Talk':Revealing further details of the relationship with the 27-year-old “No Love” singer, Jada described her connection with Alsina as a “different kind of entanglement” to what she had experienced with her husband.
Will, reflecting on the state of their marriage at that time, said, "I was done with your ass. I was done with you,” before going on to add:
"Marriages have that though. We decided that we were going to separate for a period of time and you go figure out how to make yourself happy and I’ll try to figure out how to make myself happy. I really felt like we could be over."
Details of the superstar couple’s relationship have dominated the news cycle in recent weeks after Alsina claimed that he had received Will’s “blessing” before conducting the affair - a claim that has since been rubbished by the Smiths.
