Are those wedding bells in the distance?
Cher, 76, recently sparked rumors that she's engaged to her 36-year-old boyfriend Alexander Edwards after a new photograph of a ring was posted to social media.
Posting to Twitter, the "Goddess of Pop" shocked fans when she posted a snapshot of a diamond ring alongside the caption: "THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E."
Though the post didn't give any direct indication that Edwards had gotten down on one knee, fans read between the lines and started bombarding the singer with messages.
Check out the post below:
"Congrats!" commented one user, while another said: "MAZELS & MERRY CHRISTMAS."
Others advised the 'If I Could Turn Back Time' singer to protect her assets, adding: "Congratulations, grab happiness with both hands, but have a pre nup too."
Another agreed writing: "Please get that prenup, because he is sure hustling Cher."
One user even went as far as telling Cher to stay single until her beau proves his love, writing: "Girl. TAKE THAT RING AND STAY SINGLE!!!
"You’re barely into the interview process. And anybody can be awesome for a minute. We know that. He’s on the right track, tho. I ain’t mad.
"Get your love and take that ring, Ms DivaQueen!!"
While that conversation went on, others weren't entirely sure if the ring was just a Christmas gift or an actual proposal so they needed some clarification.
"Did he propose?" Asked one user.
"Wait wait wait hold uppp!! Is that a diamond ring or a ring with diamonds???? What does it meeeaaaan?????????", said another.
The news comes shortly after the icon confirmed her relationship with the music executive, who is the former husband of model and TV personality, Amber Rose.
On November 2, the pair were papped wearing matching outfits while holding hands as they spent some quality time together in Los Angeles.
The singer also took to Twitter to post a low-quality picture of her new man, with the caption simply being "Alexander" with a red heart.
When asked if he was her "new man," she responded with a love-face emoji, and to another Twitter user who was questioning their 40-year age gap, she simply said, "Love doesn't know math."
Tell 'em, queen!
And Cher's defense didn't end there.
Earlier in the month, the singer also hit back at fans skeptical of her newfound romance, saying: "As we All Know ...I WASNT BORN YESTERDAY,& What I Know For Sure...There Are No Guarantees. Anytime you make a Choice You Take a Chance.I've Always Taken Chances...It's WHO I Am." (sic)
The Burlesque star has been married twice before.
She and Sonny Bono - her first husband - separated in 1974. The pair share a son, Chaz, 53, but unfortunately, Bono passed away aged 53 in 1998.
Her second husband Gregg Allman came along the year after and the pair got hitched just days after her divorce from Bono was finalized. They also have a son together, Elijah Blue, 46, but subsequently got divorced just three years later.
If Cher is now engaged, let's hope the third time's the charm!
