While having pain on the bridge of your nose might sound like a very unusual pregnancy symptom, fans were quick to reply to let Chrissy know that she wasn't alone in experiencing it.
One Twitter user wrote: "I've had pregnancy rhinitis and its the worse [sic]! It lasted me almost my entire pregnancy during both pregnancies. According to the doctor[,] it was normal, it didn't feel normal! My nose hurt, I couldn't breathe! Horrible! Hope you feel better soon."

A second then explained the science behind what Chrissy was experiencing, writing: "When you're pregnant your body produces hormones that soften your cartilage. This allows your pelvis to open wider for birth. It also softens ALL the cartilage in your body, which is why your feet 'grow'. My hands hurt really bad when I was pregnant because of all the joints."

Meanwhile, a third explained that she had also experienced this unusual pregnancy symptom and shared a handy tip for Chrissy to help relieve her pain.
The Twitter user wrote: "Around month 6ish, the inside of my nose hurt so badly, I began getting nose bleeds and it felt like the cartilage was deteriorating........I had never heard that, but if you say so - my problem makes more sense. The hubs got me this Vick’s water steam inhaler thingy - it helped."

According to the British medical body the NHS, the hormone imbalances caused by pregnancy can be a possible cause of non-allergic rhinitis, which in layman's terms is inflammation of the inside of the nose.
"The inflammation is usually the result of swollen blood vessels and a build-up of fluid in the tissues of the nose,” the NHS website explains.
"This swelling blocks the nasal passages and stimulates the mucus glands in the nose, resulting in the typical symptoms of a blocked or runny nose."
Not only this, but the NHS reports that nosebleeds can also be caused by hormonal imbalances during pregnancy too, but they are nothing to worry about.
Chrissy already shares two children with husband John Legend: Luna, who was born in April 2016, and a son, Miles, who was born in May 2018.
