A proud dad has gone viral for his hilarious reaction to his daughter's history-making Olympic victory.
Snowboarder Zoi Sadowski-Synnott became a national icon on Sunday when she won the women's slopestyle event in Beijing and became New Zealand's first-ever Winter Olympic gold medalist.
But it was her dad who stole the nation's heart when - during a live TV interview - he couldn't stop himself from swearing.
Sean Synott was so overcome with excitement that he dropped the f-bomb twice on air while being interviewed by Newshub from a family celebration in Wanaka.
When asked how he felt about his daughter's victory, Sean had a perplexing reaction.
"The only thing I looked for was her younger sister's reaction," the real estate agent said. "She was (going) f***ing crazy, she was going off the roof."
In an effort to get the interview back on track, the reporter asked Sean: "How proud are you right now? Your daughter has just become the first Kiwi to win a Winter Gold ever."

"I'm pretty f***ing excited, to be honest, and I'm really happy to see all the investment from all of these people has turned out," Sean replied.
But he wasn't finished. Daily Mail reports that the proud Dad went on to offer an even wilder response when asked how hard his daughter hard trained to become an Olympic champion.
"Well the toilet blocked up this morning, ah, yesterday morning," he answered.
Unsurprisingly, the footage soon went viral on social media, with many joking that Sean may have been enjoying the party a little too much.
"Zoi Sadowski-Synnott’s dad is having a sick one," one person commented.
"He looks like he's had a few too many. Party hard, your family delivered our nation a gold," added another.
Sean confirmed their suspicions in another interview with RNZ on Monday, in which he revealed that he was fast asleep by the time his daughter received her gold medal in the early hours of the morning.
"I haven't actually seen the medal ceremony yet but I'm sure there'll be a flood of tears," he said, adding: "After my couple of F-bombs on live TV and two big whiskeys, I slept pretty well."
