Rapper P Diddy has announced that he's welcomed a baby girl, who he has named after himself.

Diddy, 53 - whose real name is Sean Love Combs - welcomed his first child Justin in 1993 with designer Misa Hylton.

The rapper shared three children - Christian Combs, 24, and 15-year-old twins D’Lila Star Combs and Jessie James Combs - with his late ex-partner Kim Porter, who sadly died of pneumonia at the age of 47 in 2018.

Porter has a 31-year-old son, Quincy Taylor Brown - with record producer Al B. Sure! - who Diddy played a large part in raising, and he still remains a surrogate father figure to Brown.

The Grammy winner also shares a 15-year-old daughter, Chance Combs, with ex-girlfriend Sarah Chapman.

Diddy has taken to Twitter to announce the new arrival, daughter Love Sean Combs, whose name is a rearranged version of the rapper's.

His tweet read: "I’m so blessed to welcome my baby girl Love Sean Combs to the world. Mama Combs, Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, D’Lila, Jessie and myself all love you so much! God is the Greatest!"

A source told TMZ that the baby was born at a Newport Beach, CA hospital in October, but there has been no further announcement as to who the mother is.

Diddy is reportedly in an open relationship with singer Yung Miami, 28. Born Caresha Romeka Brownlee, she sat down with XXL Magazine to tell all about her new romance.

"We are dating," she explained. "We are single, but we're dating. He sees other people outside of me and I see people outside of him. I’m young. I’m dating. I’m, you know, having fun."

Yung Miami had fuelled the fire as to whether she could be the mother of the child as she posted some cryptic tweets around the time of Diddy's announcement.

One fan tried to get answers from her directly, and she responded with an eye emoji, usually indicating that someone is in the know about something.

She also posted an image of an unknown couple to Twitter, and fans are scrambling to work out if there are any hidden clues behind it.

Either way, congratulations to Diddy on the new addition to his family!
