Fans stunned after reality star shares video of her appearing to breastfeed fiancé
Social media users have been left shocked by a video of reality TV star Martha Kalifatidis appearing to breastfeed her fiancé Michael Brunelli.
Last September, the former Married At First Sight contestants revealed that they are expecting their first child, before welcoming their baby boy, Lucius Brunelli, in February.
As the 34-year-old gets to grips with motherhood, she recently found herself struggling with a blocked milk duct in her breast and needed the help of her partner.
In a video posted last month which was captioned: "So this was a new experience," Brunelli could be seen aiding Kalifatidis to help fix the blockage.
"You have got to suck harder than that. The baby sucks harder than that," the new mom can be heard saying to Brunelli. "It's not one constant, it has to be, like, sucking."
Her fiancé - who is lying on the floor of their living room - responded: "How do I suck harder than that? I got no strength in my suck."
Surprisingly, the technique paid off as the mother then said "Oh my god, I can feel it empty," and added: "You’ve got to breathe through your nose… you’ve really got to focus on the breathing more than any part of it."
Towards the end of the clip - which has amassed 71.7K likes on the social media platform - Kalifatidis told Brunelli: "Babe, I think we’ve done it."
Several fans flooded the comments, sharing their astonishment at the couple's openness, with one user writing: "I think you’ve reached a new level of oversharing."
Another person said: "This is just wrong to put on social media. How do you think this is right[?] So overseeing stupid posts. I think it’s time to unfollow."
A stunned user commented: "I only have one question to this won’t use a word. Just why why why?"
And a fourth questioned: "Yuk why would you post this[?]"
Meanwhile, others have praised the pair for being honest, with one person penning: "I’m going to assume it’s people who haven’t been through that ridiculous first year of parenthood who leave negative comments here."
"He’s so supportive. I think this reel’s brilliant. Better to laugh and work it out as a team," they added.
A second user shared: "YES. Now this is a real relationship!! You get in there Michael and suck out that blocked duct. This shows how understanding we need our men to be."
"The 4th trimester is freaking hard and this shows just how real it can be. So many of us love how you two love. Ignore the hate Love always wins," they added.
A third remarked: "Omg! Now that’s a real man! There is no way my husband would of done that."
The comments from those who felt the couple should've kept their content private were overpowered by those who thanked them for being transparent about the first year of parenthood.
