While nothing as dramatic as Slapgate occurred at this year's Oscars, it's safe to say the after-party was a different story if Hunter Schafer's outfit is anything to go by!
The 24-year-old Euphoria actress was snapped on the blue carpet ahead of the Vanity Fair Oscars Party - a certifiable star-studded event attended by a host of other celebs like Suki Waterhouse, Pedro Pascal, Amelia Dimoldenberg, and Paul Mescal.
However, Schafer ensured that she was the center of attention during the night, dressed head to toe in Ann Demeuleemeester.
The actress sported a floor-length low-rise white silk skirt with a slight mermaid train from the brand, coupled with nothing more than a feather to cover her modesty up top.
Fashion fans popped off on social media after the look made its way to the public, with users unsurprisingly divided over the fit.
Some Twitter users loved the look, pointing out the double standards regarding how much skin shown by women and men is socially acceptable. One person wrote: "yeah she should be topless, free the double standards on women needing to cover up."
Others questioned whether the look would have been better if it featured some bling, adding: "Needed a silver necklace going over the shoulders and maybe a [jewelry] right on her sternum and under her chest. [Something] like this would look so good."
"Although she ATE idk why celebs be wearing these damn impractical outfits [...] Like you have to constantly be aware of it every step you take," another user commented, referring to the impracticality of Schafer's look, especially for a party.
"She looks great, for a photo shoot. It must have been really awkward to be talking to her and trying to ignore that she’s practically naked. Awkward and uncomfortable," someone else tweeted in agreeance.
Other users didn't seem to think the amount of skin that was on show was necessary. "[A lot] of women showing that body confidence which is good but for crying out loud why don't just show up naked to the awards if you're gonna reveal all your goodies," someone wrote.
"So really I don't care what she wants to show of herself," another comment read. "However, I always say 'Just because you can doesn't mean you should.' However I don't have her body. It just doesn't seem necessary."
"So covering the nipple is all that matters? You should have just gone topless lol," another tweet read.
Schafer's look was in stark contrast to the outfit she wore for last year's Vanity Fair Oscars Party.
That look consisted of a floor-length, long-sleeved tie-dyed Rick Owens dress, which only exposed her hands and head.
Whichever outfit she goes for, Hunter has proven she can pull any look off with serious style.
